NINAS Extraordinary Alerts and Battlefield Instructions, 5th Episode, Parts 1-4

NINAS Secretariat

12 May 2022

As the Union Dispute declared on December 16, 2020 [ie Constitutional Force Majeure], by the Nigerian Indigenous Nationalities Alliance for Self-Determination (NINAS) moves from the Enlightenment and Mobilization phases to Enforcement, and as constituent components of the distressed Federation of Nigeria continue to consider viable options for redemption from the terror, land-grab and conquest onslaught of the Federal Government-backed Fulani invasion, we are glad to announce to all, that NINAS has the 1999 Constitution in a Chokehold and the Caliphate proprietors of that Constitution in a Pinfall.

This means that both the prison walls and the prison gate of Unitary Nigeria are now irreversibly compromised by the NINAS Strategic Designs and the joint-jailbreak to Freedom is imminent.

These Battlefield Instructions speak to the Actions we need to take Now to terminate the Fraud of 1999 to end the Mischief of 1914, liberating ourselves therefore from the over 100 years of bondage.

Here is an important broadcast from the NINAS Secretariat as a four-part series of videos.

Part 1: 1999 Constitution in Chokehold; Enforcers in Pinfall: Victory in the Horizon Over the Invaders.

Part 2: What We Must Do Now To End Our Bondage

Part 3: UN Scribe’s Terror Therapy; Amina Mohammed Narrative Gambit Dead on Arrival

Part 4: Union Dispute: Transition Now, Not Elections 2023

PDP is a scam, HURIWA slams party for shunning zoning

Civil rights advocacy group, Human Rights Writers Association of Nigeria,(HURIWA)on Thursday, slammed the Peoples Democratic Party for throwing open its presidential ticket ahead of its primaries slated for May 28 to 29 2022.

HURIWA, in a statement by its National Coordinator, Comrade Emmanuel Onwubiko, described PDP as a “huge scam” for jettisoning the zoning of the party’s presidential ticket to the Southern region, especially the South-East.

The group, which said the PDP has shown that it does not respect equity, fairness, and justice, urged Nigerians to get their Permanent Voters Card  ready to oust the PDP and the All Progressives Congress should any of the party field a northern candidate at the end of their individual presidential primaries at the end of May.

The National Executive Committee of the PDP had on Wednesday night at its 96th meeting held in Abuja dumped the principle of zoning and threw the presidential slot open in 2023.

Reacting, HURIWA’s Onwubiko said, “We condemn the decision of Peoples Democratic Party to throw its presidential ticket open thus throwing the spanner in the works and campaigns of elder statesmen including Pa Ayo Adebanjo, former President Olusegun Obasanjo, Chief Edwin Clark, Ohanaeze President George Obiozor, amongst others that the PDP and the All Progressives Congress should zone the office of President to the South-East.

“PDP’s decision not to heed the wise counsel of these elder statesmen is blameworthy considering that the South-East is the only zone that has not produced a democratically elected President out of the three major ethnicities since Nigeria’s Self government after over 60 years existence as a Sovereignty.

“Throwing the contest open has confirmed that PDP has scammed the South-East even after the zone has suffered marginalisation and exclusion from the regime of President Muhammadu Buhari.

“Since 1999, Nigeria’s fourth Republic, the South-South (Goodluck Jonathan) has been in power as Vice-President and President from 2007 to 2015. Obasanjo (South-West) was President from 1999 to 2007 while Atiku Abubakar (North-East) was his deputy for the eight years. Buhari (North-West) has been President since 2015 and would leave in 2023 while Yemi Osinbajo (also from South-West) has been his deputy.

“No South-East politician has been President or Vice-President since 1999 and before. PDP’s decision shows that itself and APC indeed plots to retain presidential powers in the North because it is likely that APC will do the same thing as PDP.

“What PDP has done shows clearly that it is indeed a 419 political contraption and our plea is that Nigerian voters who don’t have PVCs should get their cards so as to reject both PDP and APC should both feature Northern candidates for President.

“HURIWA must warn PDP that its decision will divide Nigeria in such a way that Nigeria may collapse because a lot more elite and hitherto patriotic groups and persons in the South will openly oppose the so-called ‘One Nigeria’ which is not different from ‘Yahoo-Yahoo’ mantra. The South-East should be the zone to produce President in 2023 for peace, unity and stability of Nigeria beyond 2023. Nigeria’s end is near.”

ON BUHARI’S TENURE EXTENSION: ELDERS SHOULD NOT SCUTTLE DEMOCRACY LIKE ANTI JUNE 12 1993 TRAITORS – SAYS HURIWA

Prominent Civil rights advocacy group- HUMAN RIGHTS WRITERS ASSOCIATION OF NIGERIA (HURIWA) has asked the Octoagenarian Senior Advocate of Nigeria Robert Clarke to concern himself with the type of legacies he wants to bequeath to generations unborn rather than play the role of a spoiler who is actively plotting to destabilise democracy with unrealistic and toxic proposals in such an old age such as a contemplation of tenure elongation for President Muhammadu Buhari. “We think that when elders talk they should show wisdom rather than make people begin to wonder what type of warped logic is being unleashed”.

HURIWA called on Nigerians in their millions to resist the subterranean plots by President Muhammadu Buhari to extend his tenure by employing surrogates who would flood the media to inundate us with unsustainable and illogical calls for third term for Buhari who has virtually become a dictator. HURIWA demanded from Chief Clarke what he intends to achieve by causing civil war with such an absolutely irrational proposal.

“Those who want us the younger ones to call them elders and respect their old age because of what that concept means in a lot of African cultures and cosmological deduction as symbolising wisdom,  then these elders must not speak like little minds and make proposals that may imperil the entire nation all because of the pursuit of some selfish ambitions for some alleged or perceived pay masters.”

“President Muhammadu Buhari is the major cause of the escalation of violence and terrorism in Nigeria since the last 7 years that he came on board controversially through two very disreputable elections. Muhammadu Buhari’s administration gave birth to the insurgency of Fulani terrorists in the North West because of his nepotistic appointments of only Fulani heads of internal security institutions like the DSS, NIA, Immigration, Customs, Police, Prisons, civil defence”.

“President Muhammadu Buhari in the last 7 years has left the compromised internal security chiefs who have looked on as Fulani terrorists have amassed assorted military grade weapons of mass destruction and have shot down military jets. Is it by giving him 6 months that he will solve what he refused to resolve in 7 years? Even if you give Muhammadu Buhari till eternity, he can’t improve the security situation because he is grossly incompetent and is a bigoted Islamic religious extremist. So proposing any extension of tenure after his statutory two terms of 4 years each, is a nationsl suicide and we wonder what the intentions are for this anti democratic and anti people position being canvassed by someone who wants us to address him as an elder or is Mr Clarke in another planet these past 7 years?”

HURIWA recalled that senior lawyer, Robert Clarke, SAN, Monday in Abuja, said the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), should serve for an extra six months to give him enough time to address the country’s security woes.

Clarke stated that with less than a year to the 2023 elections there was not enough time to address the insecurity to ensure a safe exercise.Speaking on Arise Television programme, he noted that the Constitution provided the President to extend his tenure for six months in the first instance if conditions were not ripe for an election.

HURIWA however dismissed these positions as infantile and unreasonable just as the Rights group said rather than tenure extension,  President Muhammadu Buhari should either be impeached for failing to protect lives and property of Nigerians as canvassed by Section 14(2) (b) of the Nigerian Constitution as the primary duty of government or resign.

The Rights group through its National  Coordinator  Comrade Emmanuel  Onwubiko condemned unreservedly, Chief Clarkes position and described it as retrogressive and not different from the anti democracy action of Chief Arthur Nzeribe who went to the Abuja High Court then to secure the controversial annulment of the 1993 June 12th election  adjudged by the local and international observers as free, fair and transparent.”

HURIWA said if President Muhammadu Buhari can’t solve the insecurity in 7 years, he can’t resolve it even if he is given two life times to rule Nigeria. HURIWA said election of 2023 must go on come rain come shine or even full scale war just as the group called on Nigerians to reject the position of Chief Clarke which will plunge Nigeria into a civil war should President Muhammadu Buhari tries to extend his tenure by even one day.

Why govs, security agencies must end killing of cows in South-East –HURIWA

Civil rights advocacy group, Human Rights Writers Association of Nigeria, (HURIWA)  on Tuesday, tasked the five governors of states in the South-East as well as security agents to end the killing of cows by gunmen in Enugu, Imo, Anambra, Abia and Ebonyi states. HURIWA has also condemned the spate of killings by all kinds of groups including the security agencies and the so-called Unknown gunmen just as HURIWA appeals for peaceful and constructive dialogues.

HURIWA, in a statement by its National Coordinator, Comrade Emmanuel Onwubiko, stressed that not only Fulani pastoralists are involved in cattle business in the South-East but a lot of Igbo businessmen are also engaged in the trade.

The group said the consequence of continuous killing of cattle by gunmen angry against the Fulani ethnic stock for whatever reason would affect Igbo traders and son of the soil who are also actively involved in cattle business in the five South-East states.

According to media reports, gunmen, last Sunday, attacked and set ablaze a truckload of cows along Ezinifite-Uga expressway in Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State. The Sunday incident was not the first as gunmen, in February 2022, attacked a cattle market in Aba in Abia State, killing eight traders and 51 cows.

Reacting, HURIWA’s Onwubiko said, “Security agents must stop the condemnable trend of mass killing of cattle in the South-East. Nobody’s business deserves to be attacked no matter the crimes they have committed; the law should be allowed to take its cause.

“Also, the fact that the cattle are not owned by Fulani or Hausas alone but by Igbo traders too is enough reason for aggrieved persons to simmer down and stop unleashing terror on cattle businesses in the South-East.

“It is noteworthy that the cattle business is a provider of jobs for teaming youths in the South-East as it is a business for all. According to the Lagos State Commissioner for Agriculture, Abisola Olusanya, the state consumes over 6,000 heads of cattle daily and over 1.8 million heads of cattle annually with a yearly a transactional value of over N328bn. This is a lot of money.

“Without any assumption, the total volume of cattle consumed in the whole of South-East and the money that accrued from it should be equivalent to that of Lagos or above it. It is, therefore, important that the cattle value chain and business be protected against gunmen attacks as the continuous killing of hundreds and thousands of cows in the South-East will lead to economic hemorrhaging. The South-East governors must act immediately and dialogue with all stakeholders and aggrieved persons to end the whole mess. There must a transparent enforcement of extant laws against open grazing of cattle just as the Rights group said the spiralling violence in South East will do nobody any good but destroy the Igbo homeland”.

IPOB’s Close Shave With Disaster Is An Opportunity To Rethink And Recalibrate

Tony Nnadi

LNC-NINAS Joint Secretariat.

07 May 2022

It appears that the May 6, 2022 story on the UK terror-designation of IPOB (Indigenous People Of Biafra) was a mischievous online media exaggeration of adjustments announced by the UK about asylum seekers.

While some sigh of relief would not be out of place, even if only for the huge collateral damage that would have accompanied such a designation by the UK, the incident is an indication of where things could go next for IPOB, not only in the UK but in the US and Europe.

The situation also offers the leaders of IPOB, fractured as it may be, as well as all the other “Biafra Restoration” groups, an opportunity for deep introspection and a total reconfiguration of strategy if Self-Determination and Freedom are really their goals.

The Grand Strategy (of Constitutional Force Majeure) already deployed by the LNC and its NINAS Allies for the Liberation, Self-Determination and Freedom of Eastern Nigeria and the other constituent components (ie NINAS Territory) of the defunct Federation of Nigeria is already yielding significant results, especially in the defeat and termination of the operation of the 1999 Constitution along with the Unitary Union it foists, in a setting that precipitates the Transitioning that will midwife Regional Self-Determination Referendums as first steps towards the emergence of fresh constitutional protocols dictated by the outcome of the Referendums, as well as the inalienable Self-Determination imperative for freed constituent components.

This is irreversible progress towards the Self-Determination Destination and so those in the South and Middle-Belt of Nigeria who also seek that Destination, will do well to realign their campaign to this NINAS Grand Strategy which is POTENT, and is moving on with increasing determination and successes.

In all of this, LNC-NINAS makes a distinction between the clear-minded criminals (conmen) who set up the rogue Biafra Franchise, and the hoodwinked Biafra-seeking multitude. Therefore, this invitation is for that disillusioned and now frustrated multitude who have simply been wanting their inalienable right to Self-Determination.

Army must not hide under soldiers’ murder to wipe out Igbo youths –HURIWA

Civil rights advocacy group, Human Rights Writers Association of Nigeria, (HURIWA) on Thursday, urged the hierarchies of the Nigerian Army not hide under the pretext of the murder of two about-to-wed soldiers to launch full-scale genocide in th South-East.

HURIWA, in a statement by its National Coordinator, Comrade Emmanuel Onwubiko, condemned the gruesome murder of Master Warrant Officer Audu Linus (retired) and Private Gloria Matthew.

The group tasked security agents to give the assailants a hot chase and bring them to book, noting that such cannibalism should not go unpunished.

Gunmen had killed the two lovers on April 30, 2022 when they were on transit to Imo State for their traditional wedding. Matthew was first raped before she was shot dead along with her lover, Linus, both beheaded, while the criminals had made a video of the incident and circulated it online.

The Nigerian Army, the Presidency, and many Nigerians had condemned the brutality and described it as terrorism taken too far.

The Army had also accused the Indigenous People of Biafra and its arm, the Eastern Security Network of the heinous crime but IPOB led by embattled Nnamdi Kanu, had denied the allegation, saying it knew nothing about it.

Reacting in its statement, HURIWA’s Onwubiko said, “It is disappointing that the Army and the Presidency are threatening fire and brimstone against imaginary enemies they identified as IPOB even without verifiable, forensic evidence pinning IPOB to the cruelty and gruesome beheading of the Igbo female soldier and her lover.

“HURIWA unequivocally condemns any primitive act of murder like the killing of these two soldiers and other security personnel.

“However, the government should blame itself for its inability and unwillingness to expose with concrete evidence the real perpetrators of the many violent killings in the South-East attributed to people known and  called unknown gunmen.

“Government should tell us how it reached the conclusion of the group responsible for the spate of attacks in Igboland with speculative and unsubstantiated tales by moonlight.

“HURIWA warns the government and soldiers not to hide under the anger over the brutal murder of the two soldiers to kill off innocent Igbo youths that may be roped in with phantom charges of involvement even with no scientific evidence.

“Terrorists are overrunning the country, bringing down Nigerian Air Force jets in Zamfara and other parts of the country, bombing moving trains in Kaduna, attacking airports all over the North-West. The terrorists also kill, maim and kidnap innocent Nigerians. They are everywhere and HURIWA posits that they have infiltrated the South-East to cause unprintable horror.

“The government and the Army must fish out the exact killers of the two lovebird soldiers and the perpetrators of other despicable and dastardly acts of criminality in the South-East and other parts of the country so that the innocent won’t be punished while the real devil walk away freely.”

The Nature Of The War Of Invasion Indigenous Nationalities Of Nigeria Are Caught In, And The Remedy

Tony Nnadi, NINAS,

Issued 05 May 2022

There is a huge war that is already upon us in which the Fulani who are already invading us, seek to conquer and exterminate the indigenous peoples of Nigeria in an undisguised ethnic cleansing onslaught. The Fulani main objective is to permanently take ownership of our ancestral homelands and make Nigeria a homeland for Fulani from all over Africa particularly.

The most viable response mechanism for the indigenous peoples is to terminate the master-servant Union created by the Caliphate-imposed 1999 Constitution in order to delegitimize the presence of the murderous Fulani in the Alliance Territories (South and Middle-Belt).

In other words, to terminate the toxic Nigerian Union in order to get rid of the Fulani who are operating the illicit Unitary Nigeria (and therefore masquerading as “Nigerians”), from our ancestral spaces across the Alliance Territories and simultaneously activate our right to armed Self-Defence as an integral component of our inalienable right to Self-Determination.

That is the whole purpose of the Constitutional Force Majeure which itself was the culmination of a 20-year process to create a solid consensus against the 1999 Constitution amongst the Alliance Territories of the South and Middle-Belt.

Accordingly, the most urgent task before all of us in Yorubaland, Igboland, Ijawland, Tivland, Urhoboland, Edoland, Jukunland, Ogoniland, Biromland and everywhere in between, who genuinely seek extrication from the stranglehold of Caliphate Nigeria, is to Take Down the 1999 Constitution upon which that Caliphate Nigeria is erected, and so, whether we seek the emergence of an independent “Yoruba Nation” or “Igbo Nation” or “Biafra” or even Regional Autonomy or the so-called Restructuring of Nigeria, the first order of business is to break the constitutional cage called One-Nigeria in which we are currently held. Any other effort outside this urgent need to break the cage is simply self-entertaining and could only be informed by a dangerous mix of ignorance, dishonesty and naivety

Having roundly Repudiated the fraudulent 1999 Constitution via Solemn Assemblies, the Alliance of the South and Middle-Belt must now find a way to halt the Caliphate’s attempt to re-inject some life into that Constitution via the so-called “2023 Elections”.

It is in taking this action of Halting by any means necessary, the 2023 Voyage of doom called “Elections that we bring an immediate end to the defeated 1999 Constitution, as well as the Unitary Union of death anchored upon that Constitution, as encapsulated by the December 16, 2020 Joint Multi-Regional Constitutional Force Majeure (CFM) Proclamation by NINAS. (This strategic action is depicted in the LNC-NINAS Domino-1 and Domino-2 graphics)

At a time the embattled peoples of the South and Middle-Belt of Nigeria caught in the urgent existential threat of Fulani extermination are battling to terminate the Caliphate-enabling 1999 Constitution by Halting the Voyage to 2023, it is a tragedy of monumental proportions that the renegade political merchants from the South and Middle-Belt of Nigeria, supported by blind and selfish Church-leaders will be railroading the same endangered but ill-informed populace into the Caliphate electoral train for 2023.

It is against this backdrop of these realities that we invite the educated and enlightened segment of our society to find the discipline to examine and grasp the workings of the NINAS Self-Determination Template in order to facilitate the urgent self-redemption tasks thrust upon us by the deadly mischiefs and murderous intents of our erstwhile compatriots in the failed Lugardian Experiment of 1914 called “Nigeria” so that we can in an orderly manner, chart a future in Self-Determination for the trapped constituent components of the defunct Federation of Nigeria that collapsed since 1966, which carcass was hijacked and is being operated by the Caliphate that now seeks to exterminate the indigenous peoples to take over our ancestral homelands for the Fulani permanent holding.

I enjoin us to critically review the audiovisuals in 4-parts titled, “NINAS Extraordinary Alerts April 2022” available at the NINAS Voice YouTube channel, which are really battlefield instructions and help spread same to all our people who hail from the Alliance Territories wherever they may be across the world.

The recent visit of UN Secretary-General, Antonio Guterres to Nigeria was orchestrated by Amina Mohammed and her principals in Abuja, to set up a counter-narrative to the self-evident complicity of the Fulani President of Nigeria (Buhari) who is also the Commander-In-Chief of Nigeria’s Armed Forces, in the Fulani invasion of the rest of Nigeria, just as the false narrative of farmers and herders clashes was set up and marketed in Washington DC for years until the LNC-NINAS Team shot it down in 2019.

At a time key stakeholders in Nigeria are considering what viable options are available for managing the Extraordinary Emergency thrown up by the fact that Nigeria’s President and Commander-In-Chief is openly complicit in the terror ravaging Nigeria, it takes being blind not to see through Amina Mohammed’s harebrained scheme of bringing the UN Secretary-General to Nigeria to hail, endorse and praise Buhari’s Government for the Afghan-style “Rehabilitation and Reabsorption” of “Repentant” Boko Haram and Fulani herdsmen terrorists into Nigeria’s Military, and therefore set up a counter-narrative.

Unfortunately for Amina Mohammed and her Fulani kinsmen, the roots of the LNC and NINAS at the UN go far deeper than the Executive Secretariat Level which is where Amina Mohammed and her boss, the Secretary-General of the United Nations belong. The business of what has to be done about the wobbling Nigerian Federation, resides with the UN Main Organs particularly the UN Security Council and Trusteeship Council. not the Secretariat.

Just like the Governors’ Forum in Nigeria has a Director-General who heads the Secretariat Staff for the Governors’ Forum while the Governors themselves call the shots for what the Governors’ Forum does, the UN Secretary-General is merely the head of the UN Executive Secretariat but it is the member countries, particularly at the UN Security Council that call the shots.

The UN Secretariat is only there to provide administrative mechanisms for implementing the decisions of those organs.

Let it be recalled that in the LNC-NINAS 8-Point Strategy document which has been in the public domain since 2018, we allotted percentage weights to the different task components for the Liberation Project. While the task of Taking Down the 1999 Constitution weighed in at seventy-five percent of the overall task profile, International imperatives weighed in at a mere five percent, most of which had been accomplished between 2007 and 2019.

This indicates that most of what needs to be done to free ourselves from the bondage of Caliphate Nigeria is in our hands, and is our responsibility to do and so we must rise up to the challenge of now. No one is coming from the international community to do our tasks for us especially now that the task is reduced to only one item: Halting the Voyage to 2023 Elections as a final act for Taking Down the defeated 1999 Constitution. It is when we do that One Final Task that we precipitate the Constitutional Logjam that will usher in the Transitioning that will midwife the Regional Self-Referendums to recommit to, or opt out of the Union of death that Nigeria has become for its constituent components.

2023 ELECTION: SOUTHERN KADUNA YOUTHS WILL ONLY SUPPORT ASPIRANTS WITH EMPATHY FOR OUR PEOPLE

Southern Kaduna Youths under the auspices of the Southern Kaduna Peoples Union (SOKAPU YOUTH) have said that they will only throw their supports behind aspirants that have shown empathy to the people of the area.

This was contained in a statement issued by the national coordinator, Comrade John Isaac on Wednesday in Kaduna.

The Group noted that Southern Kaduna has suffered unprecedented terror attacks leading to mass killings and destruction of communities in the last seven years. It said only those who stood with the people will get the support of the youths of the area.

The statement reads in parts;

“As the 2023 general elections inches closer, it is important to remind aspirants across all political parties in clear terms that Southern Kaduna which has in the last seven (7 ) years witness unprecedented number of attacks, with thousands killed and slaughtered in cold blood, properties worth billions of naira destroyed and millions displaced, is a no go region for aspirants who have no human feelings, regards for human lives and have shown little or no concerns and empathy to the Southern Kaduna people.

“We have observed also with dismay in recent times the pretentious attitudes and more worrisome the unfolding loop-sidedness in the activities of some aspirants who have been going about their bid for the Presidency of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and Governorship of our dear state Kaduna, without reference to the plight of the Southern Kaduna People, let alone condemn the continuous killings nor proffering possible solutions to the acts of terrorism orchestrated by terrorist Militia across Southern Kaduna over the recurring attacks on the innocent people of Southern Kaduna.

“While we appreciate the generosity of some of the aspirants towards amelorating the living conditions of displaced persons in the state, we will like to call on all aspirants across all political parties to emulate the kind gestures of those whom have extended support to the people of Southern Kaduna and Kaduna state at large.

“We also want to categorically emphasis that more needs to be done in the areas of rehabilitation and reconstruction of sacked communities in Southern Kaduna as the Southern People are passing through untold hardship.

“We want to again call on the President Muhammadu Buhari Led Federal Government to as a Matter of urgency establish a Southern Kaduna Development Commission (SKDC) to be saddled with the responsibility of Reconstructing Rehabilitating and Resettlement of the over two Million (2,000,000) displaced Person across Southern Kaduna, the reconstruction of the nearly Two Hundred (200) communities, including Schools, Hospitals, and Markets destroyed by killer terrorist herdsmen.

“It is important to mention here that the killings and destruction of lives, and properties and the displacement of communities taking place in Southern Kaduna by terrorist herdsmen is of similar proportion to the Boko Haram ravaged North Eastern part of Nigeria. Therefore, a Southern Kaduna Development Commission is of paramount importance and should be supported by every well-meaning and peace loving Nigerians.”

It’s shameful security agents fail to arrest Aso Rock burglars one year after –HURIWA

*HURIWA DEPLORES INABILITY OF SECURITY FORCES TO STOP RISING CRIMES/TERRORISTS INFILTRATION OF FCT

Civil rights advocacy group, Human Rights Writers Association of Nigeria, (HURIWA) on Tuesday, slammed the Nigeria Police Force, the Nigerian Army, the Department of State Services, the National Intelligence Agency and other security agencies for their collective failure to fish out some Aso Rock burglars one year after the embarrassing incident.

Robbers, last May, had burgled the residence of the Chief of Staff to the President, Ibrahim Gambari, inside the Presidential Villa, Abuja and the incident was confirmed by presidential spokesman, Garba Shehu.

HURIWA, in a statement by its National Coordinator, Emmanuel Onwubiko, also said the incompetence of the security agents and their failure to arrest the Aso Rock burglars has buoyed burglars and bandits so much so that they sacked Abuja villagers and cause hundreds of dwellers to flee their homes despite living in the seat of power, kilometres away from President Muhammadu Buhari.

Residents of rural communities in the FCT have reportedly fled their homes after bandits went on a rampage, killing a 23-year-old man, Nura Mai Gyada, and stealing 36 motorcycles.

According to news reports, daring bandits went on the rampage last weekend in the Adagba community of the Abaji Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory, kidnapping residents and killing some.

Residents had said the bandits numbering over 100 with sophisticated weapons invaded the community around 9pm on Saturday, divided themselves into groups, moved from house to house while shooting into the air and made away with motorcycles, other valuables and cash.

Several other kidnappings, killings and disturbing attacks have occurred in Abuja in the last two years including the attack and abduction of two Abuja-based journalists of PUNCH Newspapers, Solomon Odeniyi and Amarachi Orjiude, within 24-hours last March; the attack on the Abuja Bureau Chief of the Nigerian Tribune, Leon Usigbe, also in March 2022, the abduction of a PUNCH journalist, Okechukwu Nnodim, in February 2021; amongst numerous others that went unreported in the media.

Reacting, HURIWA’s Onwubiko said, “It is shameful and a pointer to the inefficiency of all the security agents that one year after daring burglars invaded the residence of a whole Chief of Staff to the President, Ibrahim Gambari, a street to that of the President in Aso Villa, the police, the DSS, the Army and others are yet to fish out the perpetrators. Or have they gotten the so-called burglars but failed to revert to Nigerians about the development?

“The whole security architecture are also yet to be ascertained how armed robbers gained access into the ‘well-fortified’ Presidential Villa manned by a combined team of policemen, DSS operatives, and men of the Presidential Guards Brigade of the Nigeria Army. Sadly, till date, this invasion has yet to be resolved.

“Contrastively, more than 725 people have been arrested for storming the United State Capitol building on January 6, 2021. Over 71 rioters have also received criminal sentences, while the rest are waiting for their trials or haven’t yet reached plea agreements for charges ranging from obstruction of an official proceeding to assault.

“The continuous state of insecurity in Nigeria and the shameless incapacity of the security agencies to secure even the FCT is now obvious. If the security agents cannot even secure Aso Villa and the FCT that is about the smallest state if we take it to be a state and the seat of national power, then the hope of the common man is quashed.

“It’s pathetic that FCT residents now flee to the central business district of Abuja over attacks and invasion by marauding bandits in communities outside of the Central Areas of the metropolis.

“The Buhari regime must wake up and proffer radical solutions to the insecurity situation in the country.

“Nigerians must also demand accountability from the security agencies because defence sector got the largest chunk of budget this year. why is nobody being punished for failing to safeguard lives of Nigerians despite that the cardinal role of the government is the security of lives and property? Enough is enough.”

HURIWA CAUTIONS NIGERIA POLICE AGAINST UNLAWFUL ARRESTS IN IMO STATE

Prominent Civil rights advocacy group- HUMAN RIGHTS WRITERS ASSOCIATION OF NIGERIA (HURIWA) has for the umpteenth time warned the men and officers of the Nigeria Police,  especially the Imo State  Police command to be professionally circumspect on how they go about arresting, coercing, parading and slamming allegations on people in Imo State just as the Rights group said media trial of suspects by the police especially in the South-East of Nigeria must be discouraged and discontinued so the principle of Rule of law is upheld all the times.

The police, HURIWA insists, are not above the law and must comply totally with the provisions of the law since it is a creation of the law.

HURIWA has also cautioned the police to understudy the South East where they are posted from all parts of the Country, so they get acquainted with the socio-cultural practices and traditions of the people of the region to avoid the unlawful arrest of members of the African traditional Religions on the disguised allegations that they are using their shrines to pray for persons perceived as being responsible for the spate of attacks that targeted strategic national security assets in the South East of Nigeria.  HURIWA said security forces have consistently attacked shrines of African traditional worshippers and have had to parade them as collaborators with the so called unknown gunmen and at the end of the day, the police have failed to get any conviction from all these ARRESTS.

HURIWA which condemned strongly the attacks on strategic national security assets and have also condemned the killing of police operatives, also accused the police in the South East of Nigeria and especially the Imo State command of the widespread use of extrajudicial execution of suspects in their detention facilities and during their security operations in parts of Imo State just as the Rights group said the allegations that police dump unidentified corpses of young Igbo boys in the Federal medical centre in Owerri, Imo State, is a serious indictments that must be investigated by the International Criminal Court in The Hagues Netherlands so those responsible for these crimes against humanity are prosecuted for these odious and gruesome killings.

HURIWA also faulted the parade of a so-called bomb maker by the police in Imo State just as the Rights group said from the photo evidence of what the police termed bomb making equipment which they paraded with the lone suspect as celebrated in some sections of the Nigerian media, it would seem that what the police calls ‘bomb making’ materials are some locally fabricated non lethal explosives that are used during burials to shoot 21 gun salutes to deserving members of the Igbo communities which is in Igboland is called NKPO NA ANI.

HURIWA recalled that The Imo State Police Command on Friday said it arrested and paraded a 50-year-old-man one Simeon Onigbo, suspected to be a bomb manufacturer for the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, used in attacking police stations and government facilities in the state. The State Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Micheal Abattam, disclosed this to newsmen in Owerri. The command said it was last Wednesday it uncovered and raided the IPOB bomb manufacturing camp at Uba Umuaka in Njaba Local Government Area of Imo State, based on the credible information that was made available to the Police.

HURIWA however faulted the police going by the photo evidence of what the police paraded as bomb making materials because from available empirical data, those materials are what are used during Igbo burials all over Igbo land just as the Rights group has demanded that the Nigerian Bar Association Imo State,   Amnesty International, National Human Rights Commission and other credible NGOs be allowed to assess those materials being peddled around in the media as bombs so the Police is not allowed to undermine the traditions and customs of the Igbo in their unscientific haste to announce a breakthrough on the disturbing trends of civil unrest in parts of the South East of Nigeria.

“The Imo State Police Command must toe the line of professionalism and competency and avoid the hasty parading of persons and their demonisation as criminals when the courts of law is yet to make any binding pronouncements and moreover section 36(5) of the Nigerian Constitution says all suspects are innocent in the eye of the law until a contrary pronouncements by courts of competent jurisdiction are made and not through police propaganda in the media”.
